The New American Revolution is Coming to Your Town

When I was a teenager growing up on Long Island in the 1970s, I felt overwhelmed by the size and power of the United States. I remember thinking, “What impact can I have here? I am one small voice in a vast sea of hundreds of millions of people. What can I do to make a difference?”
A few years later my path led me to Israel. What a joy it was to live in a small country where many people were viewed as family. Making a contribution was primarily based on the simple fact of living there; the existence of the country was considered a miracle and Jewish immigrants were welcomed with open arms to be part of it. This, and the fact that Israel was so small and under constant attack, created a sense of shared destiny that was palpable.
Eventually I became a citizen (it is possible to be a dual citizen of the U.S. and Israel). While voting during my first national election I was moved to tears. My voice did matter! Most people who could vote felt the same way; over 90% of the eligible voters exercised this precious right.
I returned to the States in 2001 (before 9/11) older and somewhat wiser. Finding meaning in life was no longer limited to making a contribution on some grand scale. I had learned that life constantly provides us with opportunities to make a difference; being there for a friend or family member in need, sharing a smile with a stranger, and living a life of integrity are a few examples of small acts that can initiate a ripple effect of positive change.
Another example of a small act that can have a great impact is voting. For decades I have heard people say, “Why should I vote? What difference will it make?” I am here to report that it still makes a tremendous difference. We are at a defining moment in our country’s history and have the chance to participate in a new American Revolution. This revolution will only succeed if enough of us stand up, speak our deepest truth about the country we want to live in, and take action to create it. It took the courageous action of the Patriots over 230 years ago to lay the foundation for this grand experiment. We too are in a fight, and this time we don’t need guns to win it.
The Founding Fathers and the revolutionary generation are part of the mythology of this country. The great men and women who created the republic were well aware of the historic role they were playing. The Founders struggled among themselves to define our guiding principles and institutions. Their struggles continue to be worked out in our two-party system. The genius of the system they created is that for the most part, the great battles have taken place within an institutional framework without violence or revolt being necessary to resolve conflict (the major exception being the Civil War).
The Founding Fathers and Mothers were extraordinary people. Medical intuitive and bestselling author Caroline Myss, in her CD set titled
The Sacred Contract of America, calls them Illuminati; people who were illuminated through having a higher mystical understanding of the universe. Their spiritual connection played a crucial role in the creation of this country. They knew that humanity was meant to be free, that this was the Cosmic Divine plan. She believes that all nations (as well as individuals) have sacred contracts. The one we have signed up for as a nation is central to the spiritual growth of humanity. As Myss stated in very clear terms, we have fallen asleep and allowed our contract to be in near ruin.
The conscious crafting of the republic by the Illuminati in and of itself was unique. Up to that time most nations were formed based on tribal culture or through conquest. A ruling class was the norm. The Founders did their best to make sure that the United States would have a form of government where an aristocracy could not rise up and gain economic and political control of the nation. The phrase “We the People” declared to the world that the U.S.A. was an experiment like no other in the history of nation states; ordinary people were to have control over their own destiny. The experiment was imperfect from the start; slavery, a stain on our history, was inconsistent with the principle of equality for all. During the Second Continental Congress it was decided to take slavery off the bargaining table. It was feared that trying to resolve the issue would tear the infant nation apart. It was left to future generations to resolve this divisive and difficult problem.
Two aspects of the Founders’ character were very relevant to their success, and are important for us to understand if we are to succeed in the new American Revolution. First, as Myss points out, they were able to access a state of consciousness that recognized each person is a spiritual being who has equal rights to fulfill his/her destiny on this earth. Second, they valued higher principles more than their own egoic needs and were willing to sacrifice, in some cases to the level of their own lives, to fulfill a higher calling for the good of the whole.
The signs that we are a nation in crisis are evident. Many believe we are ruled by a fascist regime. The separation of powers that were crafted so carefully to prevent a ruling class from rising up has broken down. An aristocracy has formed who control a disproportionate amount of wealth and political power. Corporate greed and abuses have contributed to our out of balance society and planet.
Yet we continue to be a great nation. We remain a positive model to the world in many ways. The valor of our soldiers is undeniable. The core goodness of the American people is evident in daily life. It is imperative that we wake up as a people to reclaim the mystic vision of the Founders and bring it closer to fruition before more is lost.
There are signs that it is happening (one being the call to restore the civil rights lost in the name of the war against terrorism). We need to do everything in our power to make the awakening so pervasive that the voices of bigotry, fear and hate do not win. Millions of new voters have signed up during the primary season. We need an overwhelming number of citizens participating in this coming election to ensure that the true voice of the American people is heard.
The task seems daunting in the face of the dominant elite that has grabbed so much power. But their wealth and power pale in comparison to what we can do together as ordinary citizens. We just have to look at our own history to know that this is true. This nation was born out of a group of farmers and artisans with no significant military training who defeated the greatest empire in the world. It is time for all of us to be Illuminati, to sacrifice part of our lifestyles for the greater good, and for our individual lights to shine brightly through our thoughts and actions. We must joyfully proclaim a deep truth of our national sacred contract; the American way is to recognize the inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The distinctions that have separated us for so long can no longer cover over the truth that we have more in common and more to gain by working together for great principles than fighting over differences that tend to divide us such as race, wealth and gender.
It is time for us to reclaim our power as participants in the politics of this grand country, to reclaim our sacred contract, and to make “We the People” a living, vibrant reality that inspires the world to greater heights of love, truth and freedom.
