Reading for the 3-30-08 TRM Show
The first blossoms on the old apricot tree in our backyard began to bloom this past week. The delicate, fragrant flowers on the mostly bare tree created a stark contrast between one season ending and another beginning.
I was surprised by the amount of joy seeing these signs of new life created in me. It affirmed the message of one candidate running for president: there is reason for hope!!
During the cold, dark winter days nature prepares to burst forth with renewed beauty and life. There is no sign of it during the darkness, yet underneath the surface a deep creative process is at work.
Even as spring begins, darkness hovers over our lives. The news is filled with stories of how bad things are, and the story usually goes that it will get worse.
Your TRM Dream Team has heard from multiple sources that the news is not all bad. Some guests have stated that we already have passed the tipping point towards actualizing positive change and have beaten the forces of fear and separation.
For some of us it is hard to see the signs of spring in our country and world. Yet just as the first flowers on our apricot tree remind us that beauty and new life can be born out of the darkness, many of us have made the choice to work towards beauty and renewed life for the good of the whole.
May this season of renewed life, resurrection, and freedom from slavery prove to be the turning point toward a more conscious, sane, and loving world. |
